No flashy advertisements, fast food chains or fast internet but classic cars in beautiful bright colors, colonial buildings and tranquility. The internet doesn’t always work well, annoying? On the contrary! Enjoy what is happening around you and leave that phone for a while. The white sandy beaches on the blue Caribbean Sea, delicious cocktails and salsa music will make you quickly forget the hustle and bustle of home.

For years, many people have been saying, Cuba is going to modernize, you have to go now! And yes, a lot is happening, Cuba is constantly changing. There are now many more private restaurants, casas and small businesses and also the internet is much more accessible than a few years ago. At the same time, daily life has become more difficult due to shortages, power outages and problems with transport and fuel. That is precisely why Cuba is not a destination where everything always goes according to plan, but maybe that is exactly why a trip here still feels so different from anywhere else.
